Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Hi, I’m Denise Brady, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and EMDR-trained clinician dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and practical support.
I specialize in helping adults heal from childhood trauma and parental wounds — the old patterns, attachment injuries, and unspoken family dynamics that quietly shape how we love, parent, and show up in our adult lives. Using EMDR alongside attachment theory, I provide a safe, culturally responsive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore anxiety, relationship difficulties, parenting stress, trauma, depression, and major life transitions.
My approach combines empathy, trauma-informed care, and real-world coping strategies so that therapy feels both supportive and effective — helping you understand not just what you feel, but where it started.
Whether you’re feeling emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected in your relationships, or ready to finally break cycles passed down from your own upbringing, I’m here to help you move from surviving to thriving—one step at a time.

As a Black woman, finding a therapist who truly sees me, hears me, and understands the layered nuances of my lived experience felt almost impossible — until I found Denise. Denise creates a space where I never have to shrink, code-switch, or over-explain my cultural context. She holds space with both clinical expertise and genuine compassion. I feel affirmed not only as a client, but as a Black woman navigating life, relationships, work, and generational expectations. She challenges me in the best ways while still making me feel emotionally safe. Our work together has helped me unpack trauma, build stronger boundaries, and develop a deeper sense of self-trust. If you are a Black woman looking for a therapist who understands intersectionality, respects your strength, and honors your vulnerability — Denise is truly a gift. I’m so grateful for her guidance and support.

Incredibly adept, succinct and kind in her approach to therapy. If you’re willing to do the work, she can expertly help you navigate your healing journey to gain deep personal growth and evolution. Relatable. Empathetic. Real. Denise is highly attuned to the intersectionality of trauma which helped me heal past wounds, find inner peace and liberation.

Denise is an excellent choice for a therapist. As a black woman, I’ve felt safe, seen, and heard since the first day I met her. She has really helped me in reshaping my life and has really helped me make sense in so many of the areas I’d felt confusion for a long time. The space she has set is safe, serene, easily accessible, and comfortable. My life has been greatly enriched with her in my life and I hope and pray the same for you.
